This document provides readers with an introduction to Response to Intervention (RTI) of Scientific Research-Based Interventions (SRBI) from both the national and local perspective. It explains the definition and purpose of this service delivery system and describes the components and strategies that the Cheshire Public Schools will use for each aspect of the SRBI process in grades K-6.
The first edition of this document was written in 2009. This second edition clarifies our goals and updates our procedures. We welcome feedback from all members of the Cheshire education community.
