Board of Education
Overview
The Cheshire Board of Education consists of seven (7) members serving overlapping four-year terms. They are elected at the biennial town election. The Board of Education is the governing body of the school district. This elected body hires a district leader, sets the budget and adopts policy. It derives power and exists under the Constitution and General Statutes of the State of Connecticut and the procedures of the Connecticut State Board of Education.
