NCAA Information

High school athletics can be a huge advantage both in gaining admissions to colleges that might otherwise be out of reach, and in obtaining funding for college. However, there are minimum requirements for consideration for an athletic scholarship, and they can change over time. It is becoming harder to qualify, not easier. All prospective student-athletes intending to enroll in a NCAA Division I or II institution for the first time, on or after August 1, 2009, MUST complete the NCAA Clearinghouse Initial Eligibility form.  Please refer to the website on-line for any questions concerning the NCAA Eligibility Requirements by going to:  http://www.ncaastudent.org/

There is a list of NCAA approved Core Courses at Cheshire High School available at the NCAA Eligibility Center. The website is: https://goo.gl/ddFVw2  (Search for CHS using CEEB code 070100)

Visit the Clearninghouse website by going to: https://web3.ncaa.org/ecwr3/

Click on “Resources” and then navigate to the section titled “Are You on Track?” There you can plug in your search for Cheshire High School. This website is where the journey as a college student-athlete begins. If you have questions about NCAA Eligibility, please call the NCAA Initial Eligibility Clearinghouse toll free at 877-262-1492.
