A Comprehensive Program to Meet the Needs of Cheshire’s Young Children
Birth-to-Three is a state-funded program which provides comprehensive services to children ages 0-3 who are identified as having developmental delays. The staff makes home visits to provide speech, physical, occupational and/or educational services. In addition, B-3 hosts the Parent/Child Resource Center which is a playgroup for children ages 0-3 and their parents. Click here for hours.
The Stephen August Early Intervention Center (EIC) is an inclusionary program that offers a half day preschool experience to children with identified learning needs as well as their typically developing peers. The developmentally appropriate curriculum, aligned with the Connecticut Preschool Frameworks, promotes the development of the whole child through hands-on, experiential learning.
The Parent Center is a weekly playgroup for 3-5 year olds and their parents. It is designed to give Cheshire families the opportunity to meet other families and/or discuss questions or concerns about their 3-5 year old child’s development. Click here for hours.
Darcey School provides the Kindergarten experience for all of Cheshire’s children. Age eligible children must turn 5 years old on or before January 1st of their kindergarten year. Click here to pre-register.
