Welcome to our Norton School website. Thank you for taking time to get to know our school.
Norton School is a caring, professional learning community composed of approximately 70 teachers and support staff. Each day we welcome almost 480 students in grades 1 through 6. A dedicated teaching staff works to provide opportunities for each student to progress and achieve through the use of standards based curriculum, best practices, continual professional development, and data team decision making for instruction. As an inclusive school, Norton strives to meet individual student needs in a supportive environment in which teachers encourage acceptance of all.
In education the whole child, Norton has various student groups, including Student Council, Recycling Club, Hand bell Club, and Safety Patrol, to enable students to be active members of our community. Our school wide town meetings are a time we use to celebrate our accomplishments and encourage our community.
Throughout its history, Norton School has been know as and remains a community school, benefiting from the assistance and involvement of the Norton families. Whether it is through the PTA, Blue Ribbon Readers, library volunteers, Helping Hands, or many of the other opportunities available, Norton parents are involved members of our learning community.
