Tools for Schools
Cheshire Public Schools participates in the "Tools for School's" program. This program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Environmental Protection and the State Department of Public Health. School based committees meet periodically during the school year to review and address indoor environment concerns. Members of each committee include the school administrator, the school nurse, faculty, staff, school maintenance representative, secretary, parents and district wide Facilities & Grounds representative.
The maintenance staff conducts and provides monthly inspection reports regarding the indoor environmental quality (IEQ) of their school facility; sanitation, water incursion, maintenance of mechanical systems, etc.
